@To harshit:
It may have to do with the wireless network security standard of your router. Most modern routers are pre-configured to work by using WPA and WPA2 encryption methods. However, older DS models (DS Phat and Lite) work only with WEP standards.
Would be a matter of entering into your router`s settings via any browser. Check the Instruction Manual of your router, there you will find how to access to the router`s settings. Once you are there, you just have to change the security encryption from WPA (or whatever it has as default) to WEP, assign and hexadecimal password and voila, now you can play online with your DS.
Take in mind though, that WEP encryption is deprecated and it doesn`t `provide the same amount of security as other encryption methods.
If you need further help, please let me know.

Filter your router using MAC addresses and hide your wireless network… like that only MAC’s that are on your filter list (you have to phisically input them) will be able to access your network

I made a own network with SSID networkname and (WEP-/WPA-key). I even went as far as to manually insert the data into my DS but it seems unable to connect even when I practically let my DS touch my wireless router.

That`s weird. There is the posibility of other wireless devices causing interference, but, if you configured everything they way it should be, the Nintendo DS has to connect without any problem.

Does my mac adresse change if I upgrade my computer with some other hardware? For example change the graphic card?

I am no expert BUt I think the MAC address of your Wireless device will remain the same if you change any hardware component on your computer. If you install a different network adapter/device, then you will have a different MAC address. All of them are permanently burned into the device by the manufacturer and change only if you change the device in question. However, I think there is a way to change it manually via the administrative options of your PC (if you running on Windows. PCs running on a Linux O/S are also able to change the MAC addresses via command line. Machintosh…I have no idea, never have had the chance to work with one of those.
